Get involvedThe 2026 Point in Time Count found 1,791 people experiencing homelessness in Stanislaus County, 687 of them unsheltered. Half of surveyed households named eviction or a rent increase as the main cause, and the county itself notes the count likely missed people who avoided count teams. Housing First means getting people indoors first, then making treatment and support easier to stick.
Public safety shouldn't require automatic license-plate tracking that turns ordinary trips into permanent records. We push for transparency and limits on Flock-style cameras.
Parks, sidewalks, paths, and lights should work and be maintained, with visible accountability for the basics.
City purchasing, incentives, and permits should favor locally owned businesses so wages, ownership, and opportunity stay in Modesto.
Data centers and other big projects shouldn't dump traffic, water, and infrastructure costs on residents without real public benefit.
